The Woodlands Centre

The Woodlands Centre is a day centre used mainly for Chemotherapy and Cancer Related treatments. The Centre also accommodates Out-Patient Clinics for:

  • Breast Patients
  • Haematology Patients
  • Oncology Patients
  • Lymphoedema Patients
  • Complementary Therapy
  • Palliative Care Patients
  • Physiological Support

The Palliative Care Team

The Palliative Care Team and Breast Care Nurses are accommodated within the Centre:

The team visits patients in hospital and in their own homes. We work very closely with Hospital Doctors, General Practitioners and District Nurses. They are able to:

  • Provide Specialist help at the time of diagnosis and throughout your illness
  • Advise about controlling symptoms
  • Provide an opportunity to talk about any concerns or questions about your illness or its treatments
  • Provide support and help with applying for appropriate grants, benefits and allowances

We also have access to local support groups and other services as needed:

Acorn Support Groups

These are local support groups available for patients and carers

St Neots 01480 218318
Ramsey & Warboys 01487 710132
Huntingdon 01480 363515

The groups offer an opportunity to meet other people in similar circumstances, gain access to health care professionals, information and complementary therapies.
