Parent Education Classes

Tours of the Maternity Unit take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 18.30 and 20.00. These can be booked through the ante-natal office on 01480 416080 and are free of charge.
Parent education sessions for women in the Hinchingbrooke catchment area, who have chosen to birth at Hinchingbrooke, are organised by the community midwifery teams as part of the NHS maternity care package.

Out of Area Parentcraft Classes

Out of area parentcraft classes are offered to all ladies who book their care with our hospital and live outside our catchment area.

The classes are a one day session, held on a Sunday, from 9.45 – 15.00hrs, at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, in classroom C of the Education Department.

The day is facilitated by hospital midwives and designed to provide specific information related to the care provided at the Hospital. Topics discussed include Pre labour, labour and pain relief and the initial post natal period. A tour of the unit is incorporated into the day with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Dates for the classes in 2012 are:

15th January.
26th February.
25th March.
29th April.
27th May.
