Car Parking

Visitors are encouraged to use public transport wherever possible as car parking spaces on the hospital site are limited and cannot be guaranteed.

A pay and display parking scheme is in operation. Tickets must be displayed clearly on the windscreen at all times, as unauthorised parked cars may receive a car parking charge notice.

The ticket machines do not give change, but accept 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.

We have two short–stay car parks, one in front of the rehabilitation centre and another in front of the treatment centre where the maximum duration is 30 minutes, and a drop-off point at the front of the main entrance where parking is allowed for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Disabled visitors can park in the designated disabled bays or in any visitor space in all of the visitors’ car parks for free as long as they clearly display their blue badge. In the event that there are no available spaces, please park your vehicle in a designated public space.

Our car parks are regularly patrolled by car park officers, who will help with any car park enquiries. Please adhere to all parking regulations.

The current public car parking charges are:

Up to 2hrs - £2.50 (Maximum charge for clinics and visiting)
Up to 4hrs - £4.00
Up to 24hrs - £6.00

Free Parking

The Trust also offers free parking for cancer service patients, renal patients, women who are in labour. Please speak to ward staff for more details if you believe you may be eligible for this.

Car Parking Enforcement

County Parking manages the enforcement, though will only act on specific criteria having first been met.  In the event you do receive a car parking charge notice, there is an appeals procedure detailed within the car parking charge notice which you should follow, please provide as much detail as possible explaining the circumstances of your appeal.  You are assured an independent appeals panel reviews each case and if the conclusion reached is that the parking charge notice was applied unfairly, it will be revoked.

Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust cannot accept responsibility for any vehicle parked on the site, or its contents; vehicles are left entirely at the owner’s risk.
