Literature Searching

We will carry out mediated literature searches on your behalf to inform patient care, practice development, research and management decision-making.

Please email search requests to hch-tr.libraryteam@nhs.net giving as much relevant information as possible, such as:

Search topic or question
Suggested search terms - including any alternative terms
Date range for search - last 5 years, 10 years etc
Why search is required

Please include a contact telephone number as we may want to discuss your search or ask for further information.

Search results will normally be sent to you within 10 working days of the request being received. If you require a search to be completed more urgently, please contact us.

We will also offer advice and assistance on literature searches to support continuing education or professional development - please contact us to discuss your search topic.
