Register for NHS Athens

NHS Athens is the management system used to enable access to national and local electronic library resources.  These currently include:

• Healthcare databases - BNI, Cinahl, AMED, Embase, Medline, HMIC, Health Business Elite, PsycInfo
• MyJournals - e-journals
• MyiLibrary - e-books
• BNF and BNF for Children
• ZETOC - contents page alerting service

Health and social care staff in the East of England, including students on placement, can register for an NHS Athens account using the link below.

Please register from a computer within the NHS network or use an NHS email address.

NHS Athens - Register for Password

After submitting the online form, you will receive an automated email - this contains a link to create a password and activate your NHS Athens account.

Once your account is activated, you can access NHS Athens resources from work or home from NHS Evidence Journals and Databases

We manage the NHS Athens accounts for Hinchingbrooke NHS Trust, CCS and NHS Cambridgeshire (including GP practices).  Please contact us if:

• there are any changes to your contact details
• you forget your username or password
• you wish to extend your account expiry date
• you would like any more information about the NHS Athens resources
