Our Critical Care Centre is located at the front of the main hospital on the first floor.

This new £3.4 million centre was officially opened by our former CEO Hisham Abdel-Rahman and Jonathan Djanogly, MP for Huntingdon, on 5 June 2015.

The centre supports patients with severe and life-threatening illnesses who require constant close monitoring, plus medical treatment and care from highly-trained healthcare professionals using specialist equipment.

It is one of the few centres in the country to provide individual rooms for critical care patients. There are ten rooms, four of which are isolation rooms for highly-infectious cases, which provide dedicated, private spaces for the most vulnerable patients in our care.

There is a rest period between 12 noon and 2pm when visiting is discouraged. However, if a patient is critical, special arrangements can be made to allow for visitors.
Direct dial number: 01480 416229
You can also contact our Critical Care Centre on 01480 363945 via a portable phone which can be taken to a patient’s bedside.
